Performance training is training of the body and mind to prepare the for the rigors of a sport and functional movement patterns. It differs from other types of training in that the athlete is conditioned and prepared properly to compete in specific sports and functions, rather than broader general fitness. Individual characteristics such as age, gender, and fitness level are combined with scientifically proven training methods and exercises to create a customized more specific training programs.
The focus is to enhance once performance by using the latest advancements in sports science and kinesiology to develop a sport specific strength and conditioning program that improves one’s overall athleticism – one’s strength, agility, speed, power, coordination, and balance.
